Genlook alternatives for virtual try-on

What else is worth evaluating, what Genlook actually costs, and where each option is the better fit.

In short

Genlook sells shopper try-on on a monthly plan, from a free tier at 10 try-ons up to $99 a month for 1,000. Brands look elsewhere when they also need on-model catalogue photography, want to licence real models, or have seasonal volume that a fixed allowance fits badly. Nokkh charges $0.10 a try-on with no monthly minimum and credits that never expire.

The options, and who each one suits

Nokkh

Shopper try-on and on-model catalogue photography from one credit balance — $0.10 a try-on, $0.50 a 2K image, no monthly minimum, credits never expire. Adds a Creator Network for licensing real human models per product. Best if try-on is one of several things you need, or your volume is seasonal.

Staying on Genlook

Still the right answer if shopper try-on is all you need, if the free plan covers your volume, or if you want the white-labelling they sell on their top tier. A single-purpose product is a smaller thing to run.

A catalogue generator plus a separate try-on app

Some teams run an image generator alongside a try-on widget. It works, and it lets you pick the best of each — at the cost of two vendors, two bills and two support queues for one workflow.

3D fit and size-recommendation tools

A different category solving a different problem: predicting what size to order from measurements, rather than showing what a garment looks like. Worth evaluating if your returns are driven by sizing rather than by appearance — and worth reading our note on which of those you actually have.

FAQs

Why do brands look for a Genlook alternative?expand_more

Usually one of three reasons. They want catalogue photography as well as try-on, and Genlook try-on runs on customer photos rather than generating on-model images. They want to licence real human models, which Genlook does not offer. Or their volume is seasonal and a fixed monthly allowance fits it badly.

What does Genlook cost?expand_more

Genlook lists a free plan at 10 try-ons a month, Starter at $19.99 for 100, Growth at $29 for 250, and Pro at $99 for 1,000, with overage charged beyond the allowance. That works out at roughly $0.20, $0.12 and $0.10 a try-on respectively. Checked against their pricing page on 10 September 2026.

Is Nokkh cheaper than Genlook?expand_more

Per try-on, yes at Starter and Growth: Nokkh is $0.10 flat against roughly $0.20 and $0.12. At Genlook Pro the rates are effectively level, but Pro is $99 a month. Below about 10 try-ons a month Genlook is cheaper, because their free plan covers it and Nokkh has no equivalent standing free tier.

Does Genlook work outside Shopify?expand_more

Yes. Genlook lists Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Wix, Magento, PrestaShop and BigCommerce, plus an API. Platform coverage is not a good reason to switch — both products cover the common stacks.
